Healthy smoothies full of vitamin C

3 EASY VITAMIN C DRINK RECIPES

As we've been saying for a while now, vitamin C is the powerhouse of the vitamin world. As well as having a large role in boosting our immune system, this abundant nutrient also helps us heal cuts and wounds faster, maintains the strength of bones and teeth, improves metabolism, and keeps our skin and hair in tip top condition.

If you’re like us and can’t get enough of it, try adding a Tonic to the below Vitamin C drink recipes prepared by Team Tonic Nutritionist Karen Newby:

‘The Anti-Inflami-C’

1x Carrot (beta carotene and vit C)
1x Orange (vit C)
1x squeeze of Lemon (more vit C!)
1tsp grated Ginger
¼ teaspoon of Turmeric (anti-inflammatory)
½ teaspoon of Cinnamon
1 cup of almond or oat milk.

‘The Sunshine Sour’

2x Blood Oranges (vit c)
½ Grapefruit Squeezed (Vit C and Vit A)
10-12x Strawberries
1 large handful of Blueberries
1 cup of chilled Water

‘The Spice-C’

½ fresh red Chilli (depending on preference!)
1x diced Mango
1x large handful of fresh/frozen Pineapple
