Immune Zinc Drink

ZINC DRINK - RECIPE: PUTTING THE Z IN ZESTY

Zinc is essential to sustain a functioning immune system by regulating the elimination of pathogens. Zinc is also responsible for the production and activation of certain immune system cells such as neutrophils and natural killer cells. Researchers showed (2019, Read, et al.) that zinc has vital role in anti-viral immunity. They showed that zinc inhibits something called RNA polymerase which is required by viruses to replicate, therefore exhibiting zinc’s potential role in defending the body against infection. So, why not try this deliciously fruity smoothie that is also packed with the essential immune boosting nutrient, zinc.

Ingredients:

  • 2 x Apple
  • ¼ x chopped Pineapple
  • 1 x cup of Spinach
  • 1 x Carrot
  • 2 x tbsp grated Ginger
  • 1 x handful of Pumpkin Seeds
  • 1.5 x cups of Cashew or Coconut Milk

For an extra kick of immune supporting nutrients, simply add a sachet of High Dose Tonic to this recipe. Each sachet of Tonic has 1500mg of Vitamin C (that's 33 lemons), 1200IU Vitamin D (that's 14 eggs), 25mg Zinc (that's half a kilo of sunflower seeds) and over 1000mg of plant micronutrients (that's a LOT of botanicals).
